This page shows the details of all the events that will be happening within Macclesfield during Hope08.
Friday 14th November at 7.30pm for 8.00pm
Come and join us for a great evening and bring a friend (or two!)
Excellent three course meal with coffee and mints and a memorable after-dinner speaker Ian Henderson.
Ian Henderson is somebody special – a stand-up comic (performing at the Edinburgh Festival) who works ceaselessly to change the lives of some of the hardest to reach young people. He has performed stand-up comedy at the Edinburgh Festival while at the same time overseeing the bands and creative teams developing mission
throughout Greater Manchester.
We are delighted that Ian has made a real difference in Macclesfield. He provided vital advice and support when we set out four years ago on our journey through Redeeming Our Communities in Macclesfield, the Big Deal and this year, Hope’08.
Ian joined the Message Trust in 2001 as the Team Leader for the EDEN project in Harpurhey. Before moving to Manchester, he was a national youth evangelist for eight years. He has worked with churches in hundreds of schools’ missions throughout the UK. As a gifted communicator, Ian regularly speaks at conferences across the country. He is also one of the writers of Word 4 U Today (published by UCB) and is also the author of a book for young people.
